Dennis Wise is backing Liverpool and Manchester City to play out a high-scoring game at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

The Reds will welcome the Premier League leaders to Anfield looking to end Manchester City’s 22-game unbeaten run.

The Citizens were memorable 5-0 win against Liverpool FC at The Etihad back in September to lay down a marker in the title race.

The Eastlands outfit have already beaten Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur in the current campaign.

Liverpool FC are the second-highest goal-scorers in the Premier League this term, indeed only Manchester City have scored more times.

The Merseyside outfit have scored nine times in their last four games against the Citizens in the Premier League at Anfield.

Former Chelsea midfielder Wise believes the two free-scoring Premier League teams will play out a thriller on Sunday afternoon.

“It’s not one of those games where the two teams are going to sit back,” Wise told The Debate on Sky Sports.

“It’s going to be an entertaining game. They score goals. That’s what you want!”

Liverpool FC have netted 50 times in 22 games in the Premier League games, 14 goals less than the current leaders.

Klopp’s side have found the net five more times than the third-highest goal-scorers Manchester United.

The Reds haven’t won the Premier League title and were pipped to the top-flight crown in 2014 when Manchester City finished just ahead of Liverpool FC.
