Liam Rosenior has backed Liverpool FC to cause Manchester City more problems than any other Premier League team at Anfield on Sunday.

The Reds suffered a chastening 5-0 loss to the Citizens at the Etihad Stadium back in September, although Sadio Mane’s sending off was a big factor in the landslide result.

Jurgen Klopp’s men appeared to causing the Manchester City defence some problems before Mane was dismissed for a reckless challenge shortly after Sergio Aguero’s opener.

Only Manchester City have scored more Premier League goals than Liverpool FC this season, which is testament to Klopp’s attacking brand of football.

Liverpool FC have a good record against Manchester City at Anfield following four successive victories over the Citizens on Merseyside.

Brighton defender Rosenior is backing Liverpool FC to be disrupt Manchester City’s momentum at Anfield this weekend.

“If there is one team in the way they play that can cause Man City problems, it is Liverpool,” Rosenior told Sky Sports.

“The scoreline at Man City was more of a reflection of the red card. In the first 25 minutes, I haven’t seen a team cause Man City problems like Liverpool did pressing the ball and their pace on the break.

“It is a huge game for Man City. If they can navigate this one, they’re in a great position to go unbeaten.”

Liverpool FC were 1-0 winners against Manchester City in their last meeting at Anfield thanks to Georginio Wijnaldum’s winner on New Year’s Eve in 2016.

The Reds have scored nine goals in their last four home games against Manchester City.
