Thierry Henry is backing Liverpool FC to cause an upset against Premier League leaders Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday.

The Reds will take on Pep Guardiola’s unbeaten side on Merseyside looking to exact revenge for their 5-0 loss at the Etihad Stadium back in August.

Senegal international Sadio Mane was harshly sent off in the Premier League encounter with the scoreline at 1-0 before Manchester City eased to a resounding win against 10-man Liverpool FC.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are unbeaten in 13 games since a 4-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley at the start of October to climb up the Premier League table.

Only Manchester City have scored more goals than Liverpool FC in the Premier League this season and Reds forward Mohamed Salah is the division’s second-highest goal-scorer.

Liverpool FC have history on their side after winning the last four Premier League meetings with the Citizens at Anfield.

Former Arsenal striker Henry is tentatively tipping Liverpool FC to finally end Manchester City’s unbeaten start to the Premier League season.

“Yes, there are all the signs that are there to say that Liverpool might be the team to stop City,” Henry told Sky Sports.

Netherlands international Georginio Wijnaldum scored a first-half winner in Liverpool FC’s 1-0 win against Manchester City at Anfield on New Year’s Eve in 2016.

Liverpool FC are 16 points behind Premier League leaders Manchester City in the title race.
