Adam Lallana sends a message to Liverpool FC fans upon Philippe Coutinho's return to Melwood this week

Philippe Coutinho paid a visit to Liverpool FC’s Melwood training ground on Monday to say his farewells to his old team-mates.

The Brazilian playmaker finally completed his much-anticipated move to Barcelona from Liverpool FC earlier this month, with the Reds understood to have received a transfer fee of as much as £145m.

The move happened relatively quickly after the relentless speculation about his future and he has already made his debut for the Spanish giants.

And Coutinho was back at Melwood to collect his things and say goodbye to his former team-mates this week as he prepares for the next chapter in his career.

Lallana seemed to be in high spirits when he caught up with his former team-mate on Monday and he posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account.

Lallana wrote the caption: “Back to say his farewells… a class act this little genius 👋🎩 @phil.coutinho.”

Liverpool FC are now currently preparing for their crunch Premier League showdown with Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp is bidding to help guide the Reds to a top-four finish once again in the Premier League this season after they secured Champions League qualification under the German coach last term.

Liverpool FC will take on FC Porto in the last 16 of the Champions League next month.
