German newspaper Bild, as quoted by the Liverpool Echo, is reporting that the Reds have been given encouragement if they want to try and bring the Guinea international to Anfield earlier than the end of the season.
Liverpool FC have already agreed a deal to sign Keita at the end of the season but there have been suggestions that the Reds could try and push the move forward to the current transfer window.
The same report says that Jurgen Klopp has been “exploring” the possibility of bringing Keita to Liverpool FC before the end of the season following the sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona earlier this week.
The story also claims that the German side would be willing to let Keita leave this month for an additional fee of between €15m and €20m (£13m-£17.5m).
Liverpool FC are believed to be on the lookout for midfield reinforcements this month after they allowed Coutinho to sign for Barcelona on Monday.
The Reds are currently preparing for their crunch Premier League clash against Manchester City at The Etihad on Sunday.
