Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain looks like a different player since moving to Liverpool FC, according to Jamie Redknapp.

The England international completed a £40m move to Liverpool FC from Arsenal on deadline day last summer.

Oxlade-Chamberlain opted to turn down the chance to sign a new deal with Arsenal in favour of a fresh start.

The 24-year-old was initially limited to substitute appearances in Jurgen Klopp’s team despite his big-money move.

However, Oxlade-Chamberlain has found his feet at Anfield in the past couple of months at the Merseyside club.

The summer signing broke the deadlock in a thrilling 4-3 win against Premier League leaders Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday.

Oxlade-Chamberlain produced his best peformance since moving to Liverpool FC against Pep Guardiola’s side.

Former Liverpool FC captain Redknapp is impressed with Oxlade-Chamberlain’s resurgence at the 18-time English champions.

“If you need any further proof that players stand still when they are at Arsenal, you only need to look at Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s dazzling performance for Liverpool against Manchester City,” Redknapp told the Daily Mail.

“No more than an hour after his former Arsenal team-mates lost limply at Bournemouth, the Ox had burst through the City defence to open the scoring.

“Oxlade-Chamberlain looks a different player since arriving at Anfield last summer. At Arsenal, it was all too easy for him. No-one was pushing him and it did not matter whether he was in or out of the team.

“Now he looks fitter, stronger and is thriving in a clearly-defined midfield role. Once again, he looks like a fantastic talent. With the Ox and Jack Wilshere in fine form, England’s midfield options seem much rosier for the World Cup in Russia.”

Liverpool FC will take on Portuguese side FC Porto in the Champions League last 16 next month.

The Reds are in third place in the Premier League table following their seven-goal thriller against Manchester City.
