Virgil van Dijk was a happy man after watching Liverpool FC seal a thrilling 4-3 win over Man City on Sunday
Virgil van Dijk has taken to social media to reveal his delight at seeing Liverpool FC become the first team to beat Manchester City in the Premier League this season after their 4-3 victory on Sunday.
Van Dijk missed the game due to a minor injury but was sat in the stands at Anfield as Jurgen Klopp’s men claimed the three points after a thrilling Premier League contest on Merseyside.
The Netherlands defender is getting used to life at his new club after having signed for the Reds from Southampton in the January transfer window.
Van Dijk has already enjoyed a memorable debut for the Reds after having scored the winner in the 2-1 FA Cup victory over Everton earlier this month.
Liverpool FC will return to Premier League action on Monday night with a trip to Swansea City, and Van Dijk has revealed that he should be available for that game.
Van Dijk posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Get in!!! What an atmosphere!! See you next week in Swansea 💪🏽😁 #YNWA.”
Liverpool FC’s win lifted them above Chelsea and into third place in the Premier League table as they bid to secure Champions League qualification for the second season running under Klopp.
The Reds finished fourth in the top flight last term.
