Liverpool FC are ready to make a move to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Borussia Dortmund this month, according to reports in France.
French outlet Le10Sport, as quoted by Metro, is reporting that the Reds are weighing up making a move for the 28-year-old attacker after Philippe Coutinho’s transfer to Barcelona was confirmed on Monday.
The same report says that Liverpool FC are considering moves for Riyad Mahrez and Thomas Lemar after Coutinho’s exit went through on Monday.
The story also says that Aubameyang rejected a big-money move to China in the summer transfer window, and that could entice both Liverpool FC and Real Madrid into a move for the forward.
The Gabon international has been in superb form for Borussia Dortmund this season, having scored 13 goals and made three assists in 15 Bundesliga games so far.
The 28-year-old attacker also knows Liverpool FC boss Jurgen Klopp well, after having played under him at Dortmund.
Liverpool FC have already completed their first signing of the January transfer window after having tied up a deal to land defender Virgil van Dijk from Southampton earlier this month.
The Reds are currently preparing for their crunch Premier League showdown against Manchester City at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
