Liverpool FC want to sign 19-year-old attacker this summer, reveals reporter
Liverpool FC are interested in signing Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund, says Duncan Castles
Liverpool FC are keen to sign Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window, according to journalist Duncan Castles.
The Reds have been linked with a host of players this month as Jurgen Klopp looks to further bolster his squad following the arrival of Virgil van Dijk from Southampton at the turn of the year.
Liverpool FC have also offloaded Philippe Coutinho in a big-money deal to Barcelona to free up fresh funds for potential new signings.
The 19-year-old Pulisic has been linked with a move to the Premier League in the last few months and journalist Castles claims that the Reds are looking to do a deal to sign him from Borussia Dortmund in the summer transfer window.
Speaking on the Transfer Window podcast, Castles said: “Liverpool are also looking for another player in a similar [attacking] category.
“Not a striker but for that second line of attack – Christian Pulisic.
“That would be summer move from Borussia Dortmund. That would be a lot more expensive than Luan, in the region of €70m (£61m)-plus. So they are exploring options there.”
Pulisic has scored three goals and made one assist in 17 Bundesliga appearances for Dortmund so far this term.
Meanwhile, Klopp is currently preparing his Liverpool FC side for their trip to Huddersfield Town in the Premier League on Tuesday night.
The Reds are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table as they seek Champions League qualification for the second season running under the German manager.
