Liverpool FC want to quickly sign 22-year-old attacker after Coutinho exit – report
Liverpool FC want to sign Thomas Lemar from Monaco after losing Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona, say reports
Liverpool FC want to move quickly to bring in reinforcements after the sale of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona – and Thomas Lemar tops their wishlist, according to reports in the British media.
The Liverpool Echo is reporting that Liverpool FC want to move swiftly to bring in some new players after Coutinho’s transfer to Barcelona was finally announced on Saturday.
The Reds are believed to be set to receive a transfer fee of as much as £142m from the sale of the Brazilian, which would give them significant room for manoeuvre in the transfer window.
The same report says that 22-year-old Monaco attacker Lemar is at the top of Liverpool FC’s wishlist as they look to strengthen their squad this month.
The story says that Liverpool FC were keen on landing Lemar last summer but were unable to strike a deal with the French club before deadline day back in August.
It is claimed that Reds boss Jurgen Klopp remains a keen admirer of Lemar and it seems that the Merseyside outfit are aiming to try and land the France international this month.
Liverpool FC are likely to be linked with a host of players this month, despite having already splashed £75m on the signing of Virgil van Dijk from Southampton.
