The Red Devils signed the Chile international from Arsenal on Monday evening after agreeing to a swap deal involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
Sanchez will help to bolster Jose Mourinho’s attacking options given Romelu Lukaku’s patchy form since his big-money to Manchester United from Everton last summer.
The South American netted 24 goals in 38 games in the Premier League last term despite off-field speculation about his future at the Gunners.
Sanchez will compete with Lukaku, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Zlatan Ibrahimovic for a forward role in Mourinho’s team.
Former Arsenal striker Wright believes Sanchez will score at least 20 goals a season for Manchester United.
“Man United are getting an unbelievable player,” Wright told The Debate on Sky Sports on Tuesday night.
“A world class player in Sanchez. Somebody who guarantees a least 20 goals a season. He gives you a lot of goals. He is going to a club that will definitely help him.”
The Red Devils are in second place in the Premier League table but 12 points behind current leaders Manchester City in the title race.
Manchester United are looking to win the English top flight for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson called time on his managerial career.
The 20-time English champions will take on Spanish side Sevilla in the Champions League last 16 next month.
Manchester United signing Sanchez could make his Premier League debut for the Red Devils against Arsenal’s bitter rivals Tottenham Hotspur next Wednesday.
