Luke Shaw has admitted that he has been left in awe by some of Alexis Sanchez’s skills in Manchester United training.

The Chile international has been getting used to life at Old Trafford in recent days after having completed his move to join the Red Devils from Arsenal last Monday.

Sanchez is widely regarded as one of the Premier League’s top attacking talents and he will look to try and help Manchester United challenge for the trophies following his move.

The 29-year-old is continuing to get used to his new surroundings by England international Shaw has admitted that he has already been hugely impressed by Sanchez’s performances in training.

Speaking to Flow Sports Premier, Shaw said: “It was quite surprising at the start because obviously he [Sanchez] wasn’t linked with us at all and everything moved really quickly.

“But really happy, obviously he’s a phenomenal player. One of the best in the world, the quality he’ll bring to the side will surely boost our attacking threat.

“We’ve already seen his quality in training and some of the things he’s done is a joke.”

Sanchez will be hoping to make his Premier League debut for Manchester United when the Red Devils return to top flight action on Wednesday night with a crunch clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.

The Red Devils are currently in second place in the top flight table as they look to try and close the 12-point gap to Manchester City at the top of the league.

Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League but won both the Europa League and League Cup last term.
