Juan Mata has warned his Manchester United team-mates to expect a tricky game when they take on Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Wednesday night.

The Red Devils head into the game looking to get the three points and keep pace with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.

Manchester United head into the game fresh from their impressive 4-0 victory over Yeovil Town in the FA Cup fourth round on Friday night.

Alexis Sanchez could be in line to make his Premier League debut for the Red Devils when they take on Spurs in north London on Wednesday night.

However, playmaker Mata has warned his team-mates against taking anything for granted as they prepare for their crunch clash against Spurs at Wembley this week.

Writing in his personal blog, One Hour Behind, Mata said: “In our nearest future we have two games, both scheduled for this week, that are meant to be a test to our good run of results.

“The first one in London, against Tottenham, always one of the toughest away games of the season.

“They compete very well and have great players in all their lines and a great manager also. I’m sure it’s going to be a nice game in a venue that brings good memories to all us. Playing at Wembley is always special.”

Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table last season so Jose Mourinho will be keen for his side to at least finish in the top four this term.

The Red Devils, who won the Europa League last term, will take on Spanish side Sevilla for a place in the Champions League quarter-finals starting next month.
