Man United want to sign 26-year-old Brazilian – report
Manchester United have put Alex Sandro on their transfer wishlist ahead of the summer window, according to reports
Manchester United have put Alex Sandro at the top of their transfer wishlist this summer should Luke Shaw leave the club, according to reports in the British media.
The Manchester Evening News is reporting that the Brazilian defender has emerged as a top target for the Red Devils as Jose Mourinho considers bolstering his options at left-back.
The same report says that Manchester United have no intention of strengthening at left-back this month but could be open to making a move to sign the 26-year-old defender in the summer.
The story also says that Manchester United have been keeping tabs on both Tottenham’s Danny Rose and Celtic starlet Kieran Tierney, but that Sandro is Mourinho’s number one choice.
Sandro was heavily linked with a move to Chelsea from Juventus in the summer transfer window but a move for the Brazilian defender failed to materialise.
Manchester United have already been busy in the January transfer window after having secured a deal to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan heading in the other direction.
Sanchez could be in line to make his debut for Manchester United when the Red Devils take on Yeovil Town in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Friday night.
