German newspaper Bild, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that Bayern Munich are “happy” to sell the 30-year-old midfielder in the summer transfer window.
The same report says that Chelsea FC are also interested in signing Vidal this year, with Antonio Conte having worked with the Chilean during the pair’s time together at Juventus.
However, the same story claims that because Conte’s future at Chelsea FC is “far from certain” that could give Manchester United the upper hand in the race for Vidal’s signature.
Vidal has scored six goals and made two assists in 17 Bundesliga appearances for Bayern Munich so far this season.
Meanwhile, Alexis Sanchez could be in line to make his Premier League debut for Manchester United when the Red Devils head to Wembley to play Tottenham on Wednesday night.
The Chilean was named as the man of the match as he helped Manchester United to secure a 4-0 win over Yeovil Town in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Friday night.
Manchester United are currently second in the Premier League and 12 points off top spot.
