Jose Mourinho told to sign 27-year-old for Man United from Premier League rivals
Paul Ince urges Jose Mourinho to make a move to try and sign Danny Rose from Tottenham Hotspur this summer
Paul Ince has urged Jose Mourinho to make a move to sign Danny Rose from Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming months as Mourinho starts to consider which players he wants to bring to Old Trafford this year.
Manchester United have already snapped up one star from one of their Premier League rivals by secured the signature of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal last week.
Rose was linked with a move to Manchester United last summer but a move failed to materialise and he ended up staying at Spurs.
However, former Manchester United star Ince believes that Mourinho would be wise to consider making a fresh attempt to try and sign Rose this summer.
Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, Ince said: “It sounds brutal, but that left-back area will surely be one of Jose’s priorities.
“Matteo Darmian has been far from impressive, and I still don’t believe Mourinho thinks Shaw is the answer.
“Danny Rose is a name that keeps popping up, with him not getting a game at Tottenham, and he would be fantastic at United. If I was Mourinho, I’d be looking to sign him.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United booked their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup with a 4-0 win over Yeovil Town on Friday night.
The Red Devils now switch their attentions to Premier League affairs and their crunch clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on Wednesday night.
Mourinho’s men are currently in second place in the Premier League table as they look to catch leaders Manchester City.
