Signing 26-year-old is now Man United’s top priority – report
Man United have switched their focus towards signing midfielder Jean-Michael Seri from Nice, according to reports
Jean-Michael Seri is Manchester United’s “main target” as Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen his squad following the arrival of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal, according to reports in the British media.
The Independent is reporting that Seri has emerged as a serious target for the Red Devils this month as Mourinho switches his attentions towards bolstering his midfield options at Old Trafford.
The same report also says that Manchester United are looking at a deal for Shakhtar Donetsk’s Fred, as well as Carlos Soler from Valencia and Borussia Dortmund’s Julian Weigl.
However, it is the 26-year-old Seri who is said to be Mourinho’s prime target this month, as the Portuguese coach seeks a long-term replacement for the retiring Michael Carrick.
The story also says that Mourinho has switched his focus towards strengthening his midfield options at Old Trafford after the Red Devils finally confirmed the signing of Sanchez from Arsenal on Monday.
Seri has been in good form for Nice so far this season, scoring one goal and making three assists in 16 Ligue 1 appearances for the French side.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are currently preparing for their FA Cup fourth round clash away to Yeovil Town on Friday night.
