Manchester United have a “very good chance” of signing Arsenal star Mesut Ozil in the summer, according to Kaveh Solhekol.

The Red Devils have been linked with a move to sign the World Cup winner ahead of the January transfer window.

Manchester United could sign Ozil in the January transfer window or wait until the summer when the German will be available on a free transfer.

The attacking midfielder worked with Jose Mourinho during a three-season spell at La Liga giants Real Madrid before his move to Arsenal in 2013.

Sky Sports News reporter Solhekol believes Ozil is likely to move to Manchester United in the summer.

“In the summer, there is a very good chance [Ozil could go to Man United], especially with his relationship with Mourinho in the past,” Solhekol told the Transfer Talk podcast on Sky Sports.

The 29-year-old midfielder has been in fine form in recent weeks following four goals and five assists in his last 10 appearances in all competitions.

Ozil has only won three FA Cup titles in his four seasons at Arsenal, with the Gunners no closer to winning their first Premier League title since 2004.

The German star was Arsenal’s club record signing until the Gunners signed Alexandre Lacazette in a £52m deal this summer.

Manchester United have drawn their last three Premier League games with Southampton, Leicester City and Burnley.
