Jose Mourinho has refused to confirm or deny whether Manchester United will make any signings in the January transfer window.

The Red Devils are bound to be linked with a host of players in the coming days now that the January window is officially open.

Manchester United were relatively busy in the summer transfer window as they completed deals for three new players.

It remains to be seen whether the Red Devils will indeed look to strengthen their squad in the mid-season transfer window.

And Mourinho was in no mood to give anything away when asked about his plans for the January window.

Speaking at his news conference after Manchester United’s 2-0 win over Everton on Monday, Mourinho said: “If somebody comes, welcome.

“If nobody is coming we are going to fight with the players we have.”

Manchester United remain in second place in the Premier League table as they look to try and keep pace with Manchester City at the top of the pile.

The Red Devils finished in sixth place in the Premier League last season but managed to secure Champions League qualification by winning the Europa League.

Manchester United, who have not lifted the Premier League trophy since 2013, also won the League Cup and Community Shield in Mourinho’s first campaign in charge last term.
