Michael Owen is backing Swansea City to secure a point against Arsenal at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Gunners had the weekend off following their elimination from the FA Cup at the third-round stage earlier this month.

Arsenal were 4-1 winners against Crystal Palace at The Emirates in their last Premier League outing.

However, the north London side lost 2-1 to Bournemouth in their most recent Premier League fixture on the road.

Indeed, Arsene Wenger’s side have struggled in the away games in the English top flight this term.

Arsenal have lost five times on the road this season, while the Gunners have also settled for four stalemates.

Swansea are in 20th place in the Premier League table but the Welsh side were 1-0 winners against Liverpool FC in their last Premier League games.

Former Liverpool FC and Manchester United striker Owen believes Swansea will secure a point against Arsenal in south Wales on Tuesday night.

“Swansea are looking for back-to-back wins in the Premier League for the first time this season following their 1-0 win over Liverpool last time although they have lost four of their last five home league games to Arsenal,” Owen told BetVictor.

“The Gunners have only won three of their 12 PL games on the road so far this season and I think the Swans will get a point given their recent improvement (seven points from four games) under new boss Carlos Carvalhal.”

Arsenal are in sixth place in the Premier League table and five points adrift of Liverpool FC, who occupy the final Champions League spot.

The Gunners signed Henrikh Mkhitaryan in a swap deal that saw Alexis Sanchez complete a switch to Manchester United.
