Paul Merson admits he can’t see past a comfortable Liverpool FC win against Swansea City in the Premier League at the Liberty Stadium on Monday night.

The Reds are on a good run of form in the Premier League following four successive victories over Swansea City, Leicester City, Burnley and runaway leaders Manchester City.

Liverpool FC became the first Premier League team to beat the Citizens this season following the Merseyside outfit’s thrilling 4-3 win against Pep Guardiola’s side at Anfield last weekend.

Jurgen Klopp’s impressive side are unbeaten in their last 14 games in the Premier League and haven’t suffered a defeat since a 4-1 loss to Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley back in October.

Former Arsenal midfielder Merson is confident Liverpool FC will secure another three points with a straightforward win at Swansea City on Monday night.

“Swansea have done alright recently under Carlos Carvalhal,” Merson told Sky Sports.

“I was shocked when he got the job, and he was probably shocked himself. But he’s done what he had to do so far.”

Merson added: “He got a good result at Newcastle, where they couldn’t lose, and then they beat Wolves in the FA Cup.

“When clubs change managers, all they ask for is a reaction, that’s why they change them. He’s achieved that so far. This is another hard game, and I can’t see anything but a Liverpool win. But I think Swansea will improve as the season goes on.”

Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to allow Klopp’s side to secure a Champions League spot.

The Reds will take on Portuguese giants FC Porto in the Champions League round of 16 next month.

The Merseyside outfit signed Netherlands international Virgil van Dijk in a club record £75m deal from Premier League rivals Southampton in the January transfer window.
