The Red Devils have been in good form in the English top flight since a 2-1 loss to Premier League leaders Manchester City at the start of December.
Manchester United endured a sticky patch during the festive schedule following a surprise 2-1 loss to Bristol City in the League Cup and three successive stalemates with Burnley, Southampton and Leicester.
The 20-time English champions will face a difficult trip to the English capital mid-week despite Tottenham’s surprise 1-1 draw with League Two side Newport County in the FA Cup fourth round.
However, Tottenham are unbeaten in their last five games in the Premier League and haven’t lost at Wembley since a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Chelsea back in August.
Spurs forward Harry Kane has scored six times in his last four games in all competitions to take his tally to 32 goals in 32 outings for club and country this season.
Former Liverpool FC striker Owen is backing Tottenham to ease to a 2-1 win against Manchester United at Wembley on Wednesday night.
“Spurs have won their last two home league games against Manchester United but the Red Devils have won their last six at Wembley scoring at least twice in each of those games,” Owen told BetVictor.
“Harry Kane has currently scored 99 PL goals and the great Alan Shearer scored his 100th PL goal against United. I expect to see a hugely entertaining game, which could go either way, but the hosts get a narrow vote in a fixture that should see goals.”
Tottenham lost 1-0 to Manchester United at Old Trafford back in October after Anthony Martial’s winner in the final 10 minutes.
