Charlie Nicholas is confident Anthony Martial can fire Manchester United to a comfortable win against Yeovil Town in the FA Cup fourth round on Friday night.

The Red Devils will be looking to book their place in the next round with a straightforward victory ahead of their long trip to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League next Wednesday.

Manchester United suffered a surprise 2-1 loss to Championship side Bristol City in the League Cup quarter-final earlier this month.

Jose Mourinho will be hoping to avoid embarrassment against League Two’s Yeovil Town, who are one place about the relegation zone and facing the real prospect of dropping out of the Football League.

Manchester United have won their last three Premier League games following victories over Everton, Stoke City and Burnley to cement their place in the top four.

Former Arsenal midfielder Nicholas is tipping Mourinho to start with Martial and is backing the Frenchman to get on the score sheet in a comfortable win.

“I don’t give Yeovil any chance here. I see a strong Jose Mourinho side and a very comfortable win,” Nicholas told Sky Sports.

“I think we’re all scratching our heads trying to work out where Jose Mourinho is going to play Alexis Sanchez and I think that will push everybody around him to raise their levels here.

“I think that additional motivation is bad news for the hosts and I fancy Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford to get their names on the scoresheet in a comfortable away win.”

Manchester United won the FA Cup title in 2015-16 under Louis van Gaal following a 2-1 extra-time win against Crystal Palace at Wembley.

The Red Devils will take on La Liga giants Sevilla in the Champions League last 16 next month.
