Gary Lineker has taken to social media to praise Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for his “delightful” finish as he scored on his Arsenal debut in the 5-1 thrashing of Everton at The Emirates on Saturday night.

The Gabon international was put straight into the starting line up for the Gunners as the north London side secured a thumping victory over the Toffees on Saturday night.

Aaron Ramsey scored his first career hat-trick and Laurent Koscielny also found the net in the first half for the Gunners.

Aubameyang netted his first goals for the Gunners with a neat finish after he was put through on goal by Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

And England legend Lineker took to Twitter to react to Mkhitaryan’s goal in what was a brilliant attacking display from the Gunners.

Lineker wrote on Twitter: “Aubameyang scores his first goal for Arsenal with a delightful finish. Offside though, but doubt he gives a toss.”

Arsenal remain in sixth place in the Premier League table as they chase Champions League qualification this season.

The north London side now switch their attentions towards their crunch Premier League clash against Tottenham at Wembley on Saturday next week as they bid to try and get their top-four assault back on track.

The Gunners finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last season.
