Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang seems happy to have linked up with Mesut Ozil at Arsenal this season

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has taken to social media to acknowledge Mesut Ozil after his impressive debut for Arsenal on Saturday.

The Gabon striker made his first appearance for his new club on Saturday against Everton and he scored one of the Gunners’ five goals in their 5-1 thrashing of Everton at The Emirates.

Aubameyang was lining up with Ozil for the first time in north London as the Gunners impressed in their first game since the close of the January transfer window.

And the 28-year-old striker was clearly pleased to be linking up with his new team-mate Ozil as he celebrated the victory over the Toffees with an Instagram post.

Aubemeyang posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “About Last Night 🙏🏽🙏🏽 #Repost @m10_official.”

Both Ozil and Aubameyang will be hoping to feature for Arsenal when the Gunners return to Premier League action on Saturday lunchtime with a crunch clash against Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley.

Arsenal are currently in sixth place in the Premier League table but head into that game knowing that a win would move them just a point behind their bitter local rivals in the race for Champions League qualification.

Arsenal finished in fifth place in the Premier League last term and had to settle for a spot in the Europa League.
