The striker has been getting used to life at The Emirates following his move from Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window but it has been a difficult few weeks for the north London side.
Aubameyang scored on his debut for the Gunners in their 5-1 win over Everton in the Premier League earlier in the month but the Gunners have since slipped further behind in the race for a finish in the top four.
The Gabon forward could not prevent Arsenal from slipping to a disappointing 3-0 loss to Manchester City in the League Cup final on Sunday afternoon as they missed out on the chance to win the trophy for the first time.
And although Wright is a keen admirer of the 28-year-old attacker, he feels that he is not being provided with the service needed to find his best form.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Wright said: “You look at Aubameyang, and you feel like though he’s a great goal scorer, I have not seen many chances created for him.
“He’s not a player who gets millions of touches, he runs in behind off the shoulder of the defender. We’ve seen he can score if he gets the chance.
“But Arsenal don’t work hard to win the ball, keep the ball and play it into the player who cost us nearly £60m.”
Arsenal will now switch their focus back towards Premier League affairs and their crunch home clash against Manchester City at The Emirates on Thursday night.
The Gunners are currently 10 points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League table.
