Jack Wilshere gives Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang a warm welcome to Arsenal after his move from Dortmund

Jack Wilshere has taken to social media to welcome Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Arsenal after the striker signed for the Gunners from Borussia Dortmund last week.

The 28-year-old forward became the north London side’s club-record signing after the Gunners managed to strike a deal to bring him to The Emirates on deadline day.

Aubameyang will now be hoping to hold down a regular place in the first team at Arsenal alongside Henrikh Mkhitaryan as the pair look to try and help the Gunners finish int he top four.

Wilshere will also be aiming to play an important role for Arsenal between now and the end of the season as the Gunners look to try and end the campaign on a high.

And the England midfielder was clearly delighted to see the striker join the Gunners as he got used to playing with his new team-mates last week.

Wilshere posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Good to be back with the team 💪focused ahead of tomorrow ⚽️ welcome to the club @aubameyang97 👊🔴”

Arsenal will take on Manchester City in the League Cup final later this month as they bid to try and win the first major trophy on offer to them this season.

The north London side finished in fifth place in the Premier League last term as they missed out on a place in the Champions League.
