Christian Pulisic believes that Arsenal have signed a quality player in the form of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Gunners completed a move to land the Gabon striker from Borussia Dortmund last month after Arsene Wenger moved quickly to also bolster his squad with the signing of Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Aubameyang opened his goal-scoring account for Arsenal last weekend when he scored in the 5-1 victory over Everton in the Premier League at The Emirates.

The 28-year-old will be hoping to get on the score-sheet again when the Gunners take on Tottenham in the north London derby clash at Wembley this weekend.

Pulisic played alongside Aubameyang at Borussia Dortmund and the 19-year-old says that Arsenal have made a brilliant move by signing him.

Speaking in an interview with ESPN FC, Pulisic said: “I think you guys know what type of guy he is. He shows that.

“But, what I think you guys really don’t know is just how nice of a character he is and how much he cares and how hard he works.

“I mean, he brought me along so much as a player and helped me and guided me, and he’s been such a great guy. Obviously, we’re sad to lose him, but I’m excited to see what he does.”

Arsenal head into their clash with Spurs at Wembley on Saturday lunchtime looking to get their top-four bid back on track.

Wenger’s men are currently sixth in the Premier League table as they bid to try and finish in the Champions League spots this season.

A win for Arsenal on Saturday would move the Gunners up to within just one point of Tottenham as the race for Champions League qualification hots up.
