Thierry Henry believes Arsenal can be satisfied that they have managed to secure “clarity” in the January transfer window.

The Gunners started the month with relentless speculation surrounding their prized assets Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez to the detriment of the team’s performances.

Sanchez completed a move to Manchester United in a swap deal that saw former Borussia Dortmund playmaker Henrikh Mkhitaryan make the switch to the north London side.

Arsenal completed a club record £56m deal for Gabon international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Bundesliga giants Dortmund on transfer deadline day.

The Gunners managed to offload Olivier Giroud in a reported £21m deal with defending champions Chelsea, while Arsenal have sold Francis Coquelin and Theo Walcott.

Significantly, Mesut Ozil has also signed a three-and-a-half year contract extension with the north London side to commit the best years of his career to the Gunners.

Former Arsenal striker Henry believes the north London side have now achieved some clarity following some crucial January deals.

“One of the most important things with Arsenal in the window is that now we have clarity,” Henry told Sky Sports News on Wednesday evening.

“That’s the most important thing. We know that Ozil is staying, we know that Sanchez has left. Giroud obviously wanted clarity on his future. Suddenly we have clarity and we can move forward with the team.”

England international Jack Wilshere is one player whose future at Arsenal is still unclear with less than five months remaining on his current Gunners deal.

The 26-year-old has been one of Arsenal’s best players this season.
