Tottenham and Arsenal are locked in a battle to try and sign teenager Ben Wilmot from Stevenage, according to reports in the British media.
The Sun is reporting that the two north London sides are trying to bring the 18-year-old centre-half to the Premier League as both Arsenal and Spurs look to bolster their defensive options ahead of next season.
The same report says that both of the north London rivals have had offers of £1m rejected by Stevenage – but that Spurs and Arsenal will try again in the summer by tabling fresh offers.
Wilmot has made eight appearances in League Two for Stevenage so far this season and has also played three times in the FA Cup.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are thought to be keen to bolster their all-round squad in the summer transfer window.
The same story says that the Gunners are eyeing up potential moves for Nabil Fekir, Timo Werner and Lorenzo Insigne as Arsene Wenger looks to try and transform his side into title challengers next season.
The north London side are currently in sixth place in the Premier League table and look set to miss out on a top four finish in the top flight for the second season running.
