Jamie Redknapp states his prediction for Arsenal v Man City cup final

Jamie Redknapp is backing Manchester City to beat Arsenal to win the League Cup title on Sunday – but has warned Pep Guardiola’s men that the Gunners will make it extremely difficult for them.
Arsenal are aiming to try and win the competition for the first time under Arsene Wenger as they look for some positive news amid what has been a difficult season for the north London side.
Manchester City, meanwhile, will be looking to lift the trophy on Sunday as they bid to win a League Cup and Premier League double in Guardiola’s second season in charge at the club.
Arsenal warmed up for the game by booking their place in the last 16 of the Europa League with an aggregate victory over Ostersunds on Thursday night, despite losing 2-1 at home to the Swedish side.
The Gunners have been in good form in the cup competitions in recent seasons and have won the FA Cup in three of the last four years.
And although former Liverpool FC midfielder Redknapp is expecting to see Manchester City lift the cup this weekend, he believes that Arsenal will not go down without a serious fight.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Redknapp said: “They should be fired up for this game and that’s why I still fancy them to edge it, but I have a sneaking suspicion that Arsenal will make it very difficult for them. It should be a fantastic spectacle.”
Arsenal are currently in sixth place in the Premier League table.
