The Belgium international has been Chelsea FC’s best player despite their well-documented struggles under Antonio Conte in 2018 so far.
The Blues forward broke the deadlock in the first half when he collected Olivier Giroud’s deft assist before Hazard fired past Ben Foster.
Chelsea extended their lead in the 63rd minute when Nigeria international Victor Moses got on the score sheet at Stamford Bridge.
However, Hazard saved the best goal for last when the 2015 PFA player of the year beat Ben Foster at his near post with a powerful finish.
The Belgian forward has now scored 11 goals and has also made two assists in 23 appearances in the Premier League this season.
Former Chelsea FC striker Sutton praised Hazard for his influential performance in the west London side’s much-needed win on Monday night.
“This was a big game for both sides but Chelsea needed to respond,” Sutton told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“It’s been a good performance, they started tentatively. They have a match winner in Eden Hazard who can do something different.”
Chelsea FC are in fourth place in the Premier League table and three points adrift of Manchester United in second spot.
The Blues will take on the Red Devils in their next Premier League game at Old Trafford on Sunday 25 February.
Chelsea FC won the Premier League title with two games to spare last term.
