Jermaine Jenas reacts to Chelsea FC’s 4-0 win over Hull City
The Spurs legend praises Chelsea FC's outstanding victory over Hull City in the FA Cup fifth round
Jermaine Jenas praised Chelsea FC’s professional approach to the FA Cup fifth-round clash after the Blues were resounding 4-0 winners against Hull City at Stamford Bridge on Friday night.
The defending Premier League champions ended two-game losing run on Monday night thanks to a 3-0 win over 20th-placed West Brom at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea FC picked up where they left off when Brazil international Willian broke the deadlock in the second minute in west London.
Spain international Pedro Rodriguez doubled the home side’s lead to leave the Blues with one foot in the quarter-final draw.
Five minutes later, Willian netted his second goal of the FA Cup clash before France international Olivier Giroud scored his first goal for Chelsea FC.
Former Tottenham midfielder Jenas was impressed with Chelsea FC’s approach to the cup tie.
“Chelsea have been absolutely brilliant, started the game just right, and approached it in the right manner,” Jenas told BBC Sport.
“It’s been impossible for Hull to stop, Chelsea have cut them open down the flanks and in the middle.”
Chelsea FC have won the Premier League title in two of the past three seasons.
The Blues lost 2-1 to bitter rivals Arsenal in the FA Cup final at Wembley last season.
The west London side signed Ross Barkley, Emerson Palmieri and Giroud in the January transfer window.
