Cesc Fabregas has told Eden Hazard that it is up to him to fulfil his potential as one of the world’s best players at Chelsea FC.

The Belgian playmaker is widely regarded as one of the finest players in the Premier League and he has been in good form for Antonio Conte’s side this season.

The 27-year-old was an integral part of the Chelsea FC team who won the Premier League title under Jose Mourinho back in 2014-15 as he was voted as the PFA player of the year.

Hazard will be hoping to at least help Chelsea FC break into the top four this season as they appear to have already surrendered their title to Manchester City.

The playmaker has been regularly linked with a transfer to Real Madrid in the past, and Spain international Fabregas believes that Hazard has the ability to develop into one of the best ever.

Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, Fabregas said: “I have told him that it’s up to him, I like to be honest. In my opinion, he has the quality.

“Without the ball he’s very difficult to bring down and get the ball off him. When he is on top of his game he’s up there with the very best.”

Hazard and Fabregas will be hoping to help Chelsea FC navigate their way past FC Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League later this month.

The Blues did not have the distraction of any European football last term as they focused purely on domestic affairs.
