Jamie Carragher believes there is a “good chance” that Antonio Conte won’t be in charge when Chelsea FC make the trip to West Bromwich Albion next Monday.

The Blues suffered a second successive Premier League loss last night after Chelsea FC slumped to a shock 4-1 loss to Watford at Vicarage Road.

The west London side were reduced to 10 men when summer signing Tiemoue Bakayoko picked up a second yellow card for a reckless challenge.

Eden Hazard appeared to have rescued a point for the defending champions in the 82nd minute after Troy Deeney broke the deadlock from the spot.

However, late goals from Darryl Janmaat, Gerard Deulofeu and Roberto Pereyra in the final six minutes to secure three points for the hosts.

Chelsea FC lost 3-0 to Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge last week to heap pressure on Conte and the Italian is now facing intense speculation surrounding his future following successive defeats.

Conte led Chelsea to the Premier League title with two games to spare last season in his first campaign in charge of the west London outfit.

But Liverpool FC legend Carragher believes Conte’s time could soon be up at Chelsea FC.

“There’s a good chance he could go before then [v West Brom next Monday],” Carragher told Monday Night Football on Sky Sports.

“Not just because of how Chelsea are playing of late but because of Chelsea’s history of changing managers when the club fear they are not going to make the Champions League. They did it with [Andre] Villas-Boas, [Roberto] Di Matteo, [Jose] Mourinho as well.”

Chelsea FC are in fourth place in the Premier League table but 20 points behind leaders Manchester City.
