Mark Lawrenson has claimed that Antonio Conte won’t be in charge of Chelsea FC at Easter.

The defending Premier League champions have endured a difficult second season at Stamford Bridge following his appointment in 2016.

Conte led the west London side to Premier League title glory in his first campaign in charge of the west London outfit.

Indeed, the Blues finished seven points clear of their closest Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the 2016-17 campaign.

Chelsea FC won’t retain their Premier League crown this term given Manchester City’s incredible form at the top of the table.

Conte appears to have grown increasingly frustrated with the Chelsea FC board over their failure to secure his top transfer targets.

Unsurprisingly, Conte has been linked with a potential exit at Stamford Bridge given his growing discontent at the west London club.

Former Liverpool FC defender Lawrenson is confident Conte won’t be in charge at the defending champions much longer.

Asked whether Conte will have left Chelsea FC by the end of the season, Lawrenson told BBC Radio 5 Live: “Yes. He won’t be buying any Easter eggs.”

Chelsea FC lost 2-1 to London rivals Arsenal in the second leg of their League Cup semi-final last month.

The Blues signed Everton midfielder Ross Barkley, AS Roma defender Emerson Palmieri and Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud.
