Eden Hazard sets out Chelsea FC targets in 2018
The Chelsea FC forward is optimistic that the Blues can finish in the Premier League's top four and win the FA Cup
Eden Hazard has challenged Chelsea FC to finish in the Premier League’s top four and win the FA Cup this season.
The defending Premier League champions have endured a difficult second campaign under Antonio Conte despite winning the title with two games to spare last term.
Chelsea FC welcomed West Brom to Stamford Bridge on Monday night after conceding seven times in successive losses to Bournemouth and Watford.
The Blues bounced back with a 3-0 win against the 20th-placed team to hoist themselves back into the Premier League’s top four.
Hazard scored either side of half-time in Chelsea FC’s comfortable win to take his tally to 11 goals in the Premier League this term.
The west London side will take on Championship side Hull City in the FA Cup fifth round at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Hazard has never won the FA Cup after Chelsea FC lost 2-1 to Arsenal at Wembley last season.
The Belgian forward outlined Chelsea FC’s targets for the final months of the 2017-18 campaign.
“I think we need to be in the top four for the Champions League next season,” Hazard told Sky Sports. “And yeah, if we can take the FA Cup… but we have a lot of games to play.
“The Champions League also of course, but we know it’s not easy to win the Champions League. So we will go for everything.
“We have a good team and good players. We have three months tp play until the end of the season.
“We need to give everything to reach our target – and our target when you play for Chelsea is to win trophies.”
Chelsea FC will take on La Liga giants Barcelona in the Champions League round of 16 later this month.
The Blues have won the Premier League title in two of the past three seasons.
