Jamie Redknapp insists Eden Hazard will go down as a Chelsea FC legend when the Belgian finally leaves Stamford Bridge.
The Belgium international has been one of Chelsea FC’s big positives in an inconsistent second season under Antonio Conte.
Hazard has scored 11 goals and has made two assists in 23 appearances in the Premier League this season.
The 27-year-old has been linked with a potential move to La Liga giants Real Madrid at the end of the 2017-18 campaign.
Hazard has regularly been touted as a potential target for los Blancos, while the Blues forward holds a soft spot for Real Madrid.
The Chelsea FC number 10 has won two Premier League titles, the Europa League and the League Cup since his move from Lille in 2012.
Former Liverpool FC captain Redknapp believes Hazard will go down as one of Chelsea FC’s greatest players alongside Frank Lampard and John Terry.
“I don’t know what the future holds for Hazard,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.
“Once Hazard is gone, Chelsea fans will put him as one of the greats alongside Lampard and Terry.
“He has been a great signing. He has been amazing.”
Hazard moved to Chelsea FC from Ligue 1 side Lille in the 2012 summer transfer window despite interest from Manchester City and Manchester United.
The Belgian forward has scored a combined 30 goals in Chelsea FC’s title-winning campaigns under Jose Mourinho and Conte.
