Pat Nevin has reassured Chelsea FC supporters that the Blues will appoint “another great manager” if Antonio Conte’s reign is cut short.

The Blues head coach has become increasingly frustrated at Stamford Bridge over the past few months to create speculation surrounding his future.

Indeed, Chelsea FC have conceded seven goals in their last two Premier League games following heavy losses to Bournemouth and Watford.

The defending champions have a history of changing managers on the back of winning Premier League titles and European silverware.

While Nevin is a big admirer of Conte, the Blues legend is confident that the west London side will secure another top name if Chelsea FC decide to make a change.

“If they did let him go, Chelsea shouldn’t panic too much,” Nevin told Irish radio station Newstalk. “There will be another great manager around the corner.”

Chelsea FC have won the Premier League title in two of the past three seasons under Jose Mourinho and then Conte.

The Portuguese coach was sacked eight months after winning his first title of his second spell back at the west London side.

The Blues will take on Championship side Hull City in the FA Cup fifth round before two legs against Barcelona in the Champions League round of 16.

Chelsea FC signed Everton midfielder Ross Barkley, AS Roma defender Emerson Palmieri and Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud.
