Arturo Vidal replies when asked about Chelsea FC, Man United speculation
Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal pours cold water on talk of a move to the Premier League amid interest from Chelsea FC and Manchester United
Arturo Vidal has reiterated that he is not thinking about a move to Chelsea FC and Manchester United at the end of the season.
The Chile international has been regularly linked with a move to the Red Devils over the past couple of months.
The 30-year-old versatile midfielder is reportedly a long-term target for defending Premier League champions Chelsea FC.
Vidal was linked with a potential move to the Premier League and Manchester United earlier this term after the South American fell out of favour at the Allianz Arena.
However, the former Juventus midfielder has come back in favour under Bayern’s interim manager Jupp Heynckes.
Vidal has scored six goals and has made two assists in 18 appearances in the Bundesliga this term to help Bayern establish a commanding lead at the top of the table.
But the South American star was quick to pour cold water on a potential move to the Premier League in the summer transfer window.
“I’m not thinking about a transfer,” Vidal told Sport1. “I feel very comfortable here.
“Of course I would like to extend my contract. That’s an option. My kids are very happy here, too.”
Vidal played under Chelsea FC boss Conte for three seasons at Juventus before the Italian coach took over the reins of the national team.
Chelsea FC will take on Manchester United in their next Premier League game at Old Trafford on Sunday 25 February.
