Alvaro Morata drops Real Madrid hint after Chelsea FC move
Alvaro Morata has appeared to refuse to rule out a possible transfer back to Real Madrid from Chelsea FC in the future
Alvaro Morata has hinted that he may consider a transfer back to Real Madrid in the future after having signed for Chelsea FC last summer.
The 25-year-old striker joined the west London side from Real Madrid back in July and has made a solid start to his career in west London.
Morata has scored 10 goals and made four assists in the Premier League so far this season but has been missing with a back injury in recent weeks.
Despite the striker having been at Chelsea FC for less than a year, his latest comments about a possible move back to Real Madrid may worry Blues fans.
Asked about a possible return to Real Madrid in the future, Morata told Spanish television: “I have to respect Chelsea who have made a great effort for me. And I’m very happy here.
“But Madrid is always Madrid.”
Chelsea FC will be without the injured Morata when the Blues take on West Bromwich Albion in front of their home fans at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.
The west London side are desperately looking to get back to winning ways in the top flight after the disappointment of their back to back defeats by Bournemouth and Watford.
Chelsea FC will take on FC Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League later this month.
