Cesc Fabregas has told his Chelsea FC team-mates that it is time for them to step their game up as they look to turn their season around.

It has been a disappointing few weeks for the Blues, with the west London side out of the title race and having to focus on securing a top-four finish in the Premier League.

Chelsea FC will also go for glory in both the FA Cup and Champions League this season as they look to make Antonio Conte’s second campaign in charge at Stamford Bridge a special one.

The west London side won the Premier League title in Conte’s first campaign in charge last term but they have struggled to find consistent form in the top flight this time around.

However, Spanish midfielder Fabregas has told his Chelsea FC team-mates that they now need to focus on producing consistent performances as they bid to try and get their campaign back on track.

Speaking in an interview with Sky Sports, Fabregas said: “Now is not the time to feel sorry for ourselves or put our heads down, in fact it’s time for the opposite.

“We now have to be stronger than ever, show the quality we’ve got, our leadership and try to focus better than what we’ve done lately and perform at the top level again.”

Chelsea FC will take on FC Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League later this month.

Fabregas has won two Premier League titles and a League Cup since his move to the west London side from FC Barcelona back in the summer of 2014.
