David Luiz looks like he is closing in on return to action for Chelsea FC after suffering an ankle injury

David Luiz has taken to social media to promise that he will “never give up” as he bids to shake off his latest injury setback with Chelsea FC.

The defender sat out the Blues’ 3-0 loss to Bournemouth in the Premier League on Wednesday night due to an ankle problem and Antonio Conte said after the game that he wasn’t sure how long he would be out for.

Chelsea FC could do with David Luiz returning to action quickly, after Andreas Christensen suffered an injury during the shock loss to the Cherries in midweek.

However, despite his injury setback, it seems that David Luiz is in high spirits as he prepares to try and return to action as quickly as possible.

The Brazilian defender posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote the caption: “Amazing training session! Never give up! 💪🏻 pic by @darrenwalsh140.6.”

Chelsea FC are currently preparing for their Premier League trip to Watford on Monday night as they bid to bounce back to winning ways in the top flight.

Conte’s men are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table as they at least seek Champions League qualification this season.

The Blues will take on FC Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League later this month.
