Danny Drinkwater sends message to Chelsea FC fans about Eden Hazard

Chelsea FC star Danny Drinkwater explains why Eden Hazard and Paul Scholes are the best players he's lined up with

Chelsea FC midfielder Danny Drinkwater has admitted that Eden Hazard is one of the two best footballers he has ever played with.

The England international has been getting used to life at Stamford Bridge this season after completing a transfer to Chelsea FC from Leicester City on deadline day last summer.

Drinkwater has been playing alongside Hazard in the Chelsea FC team as he bids to try and hold down a regular place in the first team at Stamford Bridge.

The midfielder came through Manchester United’s Academy and played alongside the likes of Paul Scholes during his time at Old Trafford.

And Drinkwater has said that he places Hazard and Scholes as the two best players he has ever trained with.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Drinkwater said: “For different reasons I would say Scholes and Hazard [are the best I’ve played with].

“Scholes was a genius. Hazard is current.”

Chelsea FC are looking to try and finish in the top four this season as they bid to qualify for next season’s Champions League.

The west London side won the Premier League title in style last term in what was Antonio Conte’s first campaign in charge, but they did not have the distraction of European football.

Chelsea FC will take on FC Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League later this month.
