Eden Hazard makes claim about Chelsea FC ahead of FC Barcelona clash
Eden Hazard reflects on Chelsea FC's recent poor form under Antonio Conte
Eden Hazard has insisted that Chelsea FC are still hopeful of ending the season in positive fashion despite their dramatic dip in form in recent weeks.
The west London side slumped to back to back Premier League defeats by Watford and Bournemouth to dent their hopes of finishing in the top four this season.
Chelsea FC won the Premier League title in style last term but look as if they will have to focus on simply securing a top-four finish this timer around.
The Blues will take on FC Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League later this month and Hazard seems confident that the west London side will be able to claim some cup glory this season.
Speaking to Spanish newspaper Marca, Hazard said: “What is happening is that we won last season and now people want us to win again.
“But you know that the Premier League is very difficult, we have already lost a few times this year and we have three months left.
“We still have the FA Cup and the Champions League and at the end of the day, our season could still be very good.
“Now we feel bad, but we have to wait until the end.
“We give our all on the pitch, sometimes things don’t go the same as in training, like now, but we have to wait because, at the end, we could still win a trophy.”
Hazard will be expecting to start for Chelsea FC when the Blues take on West Bromwich Albion at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.
Chelsea FC are likely to be busy in the summer transfer window as the west London side look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
The Blues will take on Hull City for a place in the sixth round of the FA Cup next week.
