Eden Hazard has insisted that he is “happy” at Chelsea FC as the speculation about his long-term future at the club continues.

The Belgian playmaker has earned a reputation as one of European football’s top attacking talents in recent seasons following his transfer to Stamford Bridge from French side Lille back in 2012.

Hazard has regularly been touted as a possible transfer target for Real Madrid and it remains to be seen where his long-term future lies.

However, the attacker himself has now insisted that he is happy with life at the west London club despite the uncertainty about his current situation.

Speaking at a news conference before Chelsea FC’s clash with FC Barcelona on Tuesday night, Hazard said: “I play for Chelsea for six years so I am just happy here.

“I have two years on my contract and my family are happy here, so now I am just focused on the game.

“I don’t think too much about the future because you don’t know what is going to happen in the future. I am just happy here and I want to perform.”

Hazard’s current Chelsea FC is contract is set to expire in the summer of 2020.

The Blues now switch their attentions back to Premier League affairs and their crunch Premier League showdown with Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.

Chelsea FC, who won the Premier League title in Antonio Conte’s first campaign in charge last term, are currently in fourth place in the table as they bid to try and book their spot in the Champions League for next season.
