The Belgian playmaker has been in superb form for west London side this season after having recovered from an ankle injury at the start of the campaign.
Hazard has scored 11 goals and made two assists in the Premier League for Antonio Conte’s men so far this term and has been earning plenty of praise for his decisive displays.
The 27-year-old was unable to have a big effect on the game on Wednesday night when Chelsea FC were pegged back and held to a 1-1 draw by FC Barcelona in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 clash at Stamford Bridge.
However, former Blues midfielder Lampard, who played alongside Hazard for many seasons, feels that the playmaker has been in top form in recent weeks.
Speaking to BT Sport on Wednesday night, Lampard said: “He’s 27 years of age now and we’re all talking about his quality in the Premier League.
“I think he has taken his game onto new levels. When he does play in these advanced areas, he can be very dangerous. I want to see him higher.
“There are good players in this Chelsea team but Eden Hazard, when he’s on form, is the one that’s the difference.”
Hazard will be hoping to help Chelsea FC return to winning ways on Sunday afternoon when the Blues return to Premier League action with a crunch clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The west London side are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table.
