Chelsea FC could use Michy Batshuayi to help the defending champions beat Liverpool FC to the signing of Borussia Dortmund forward Christian Pulisic, according to reports.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the title holders are interested in signing the United States international but face competition from Premier League rivals Liverpool FC and Manchester United.
Belgium international Batshuayi moved to Dortmund on loan for the remainder of the 2017-18 season after his switch in the January transfer window.
The 24-year-old has scored five goals and has made one assist in his opening four games as a Dortmund player.
According to the same article, Dortmund are ready to complete a permanent deal to sign the Belgian forward at the end of the current campaign.
The same story goes on to suggest that Chelsea FC could use Dortmund’s interest in Batshuayi to help the west London side negotiate a deal for the American playmaker.
The Daily Mail reveals that the Blues have been scouting Pulisic over the past 12 months, while their rivals Liverpool FC have held a long-term interest in the Dortmund star.
