Harry Redknapp believes Tottenham Hotspur will finish in the top four ahead of Chelsea this season.

Spurs boosted their Champions League prospects on Wednesday night with an impressive 2-0 win against second-placed Manchester United at Wembley.

Christian Eriksen broke the deadlock inside 11 seconds at the home of English football before Phil Jones scored an own goal before half-time.

Tottenham are two points behind Chelsea in fourth place after the defending champions suffered a 3-0 loss to Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge.

The west London side have struggled under Antonio Conte over the past month or so following a return of five points from their last four games in the Premier League.

Former Spurs boss Redknapp believes Tottenham will manage to break into the top four at the expense of Chelsea on the back of their brilliant result against Manchester United.

“That Chelsea team at the moment is not playing with confidence,” Redknapp told BT Sport Premier League Tonight on Wednesday night.

“There’s something not quite right where, whereas Tottenham look in great form and are ready for these tough games to come.

“I see Tottenham making the top four.”

Chelsea won the Premier League title with two games to spare last season after the Blues finished seven points clear of their closest challengers Tottenham.

Spurs have qualified for the Champions League by virtue of their Premier League position in the past two seasons under Mauricio Pochettino.

Tottenham will make the trip to third-placed Liverpool FC in their next Premier League game at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.
