Alvaro Morata seems to be in good shape as Chelsea FC prepare to host FC Barcelona on Tuesday night
Alvaro Morata has taken to social media to hint that he is on his way back to full fitness ahead of Chelsea FC’s Champions League showdown with FC Barcelona on Tuesday night.
The Spanish striker has been struggling with a niggling back injury in recent weeks but he has come on as a substitute in the Blues’ most recent outings against West Brom and Hull City.
Chelsea FC fans will be hoping to see the 25-year-old line up for the west London side as they prepare to host FC Barcelona at Stamford Bridge in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 clash this week.
And Morata has appeared to indicate that he is fit and ready to perform for the Blues with a post on social media.
The striker snapped a selfie of himself with Davide Zappacosta after training on Saturday, posted it on Instagram and wrote the caption: “Sunny day in London! Perfect to prepare the Champions game. ⚽️☀️😎.”
Chelsea FC will be hoping to get a positive result against FC Barcelona as they go for Champions League glory in Antonio Conte’s second season in charge at the club.
The Blues, who are currently fourth, won the Premier League and reached the FA Cup final last season.
